Welcome (back) to the blog! Since starting this page and my instagram I have recently doubled my followers! I love interior design and budget finds and am having a great time with my house right now.  This summer I am focusing on finishing projects befores starting anything new.  For some reason we have so many projects that are about 90% complete, and I need that number to get to 100% for sure.  The biggest project I am tackling right now is my stairs.  If you follow on instagram you may have noticed I began to sand and restain my wood stairs to match the flooring we installed almost two years ago now.  The stairs were an older honey wood colour and the floor is a grey/taupe vinyl.  Also, after all of my health issues with aplastic anemia and some of the medication side effects I find it difficult to manage stairs, particularly at night.  We have therefore decided for both safety and design that we will put a runner on the stairs once I am doing staining and painting them.  After a few trial runs, I finally got the process of sanding and staining down and the first flight looks pretty good.  Now I need to decide on a runner/  Im thinking of a taupe checkeed type patter, or maybe something really boho/patterened.  I need this to last a while as I do not want to have to redo my stairs next year, so I am trying to find something that has a longer life span than one year.  Here are some of my current favorites!
