The $1500. Bathroom
Hello, and sorry for my long absence. If you have been following me you will notice this blog has become MIA for the past couple years. After battling Aplastic Anemia and undergoing two bone marrow transplants I am back to thrifting as much as I can! My new big project is the addition of a bathroom as a dor,er/bump out of the upper floor of my house. What I have learned so far is that contractors don't get back to you, adding a structure to your home is very expensive and takes a lot of prep and planning. One thing I try to do with all of our projects is thrifting DIY contests. This can make the wait for items longer as you look for what you need, but also gives your home an original vibe that is you so you will never be unhappy Because my husband and a few of his friends are so handy- we really just need someone to build the structure. He will tile the floor and shower, and. I will choose the flooring, vanity, shower door, and mirror. My goal is to spend less than $1500 on tile and vanity and light pieces. So far I am doing very well. The vanity I purchased is from @elleandeve a consignment shop in the Toronto design district. It is orange right now but will be painted- this cost me a total of $135 for a solid wood antique piece. The side board is so wide it will fit two sinks so I found two bucket sinks in white from Home Depot for only @26.50 each. Now I wait to see if Wayfair puts their tiles down any further and in the meantime. U an looking for black shower doors and a nice light fixture. Any ideas? Drop me a message below (with pics if you have them) As always, happy Thrifting ===
